The West Coast DHB hopes services at Buller Health can be back up and running next week

The West Coast DHB hopes services at Buller Health can be back up and running next week

Patients were moved to a makeshift ward at the local workingmen's club, after floodwaters damaged the health centre's boiler room on Friday night.

A pop-up GP clinic was also been set up in the vaccination centre on Russell Street.

General manager Philip Wheble says Buller Health will be closed for at least a week, for repairs.

He says the heating and hot water needs to be fixed before they can return to the building.
