A hint of promise in our Covid-19 community case numbers

There are 562 cases in the delta outbreak - with 53 new cases announced yesterday.

That's the lowest daily case total in five days.

Auckland has 547 cases while Wellington has 15.

There are 522 cases clearly epidemiologically linked to another case or sub-cluster, and 42 where links have yet to be fully established.

There are seven sub-clusters, the two largest remain the Birkdale social cluster with 79 cases, and the Mangere church cluster with 280 cases.

There are 37 people in hospital - five in ICU.

Two cases are in North Shore Hospital, 20 in Middlemore, 14 in Auckland City and one in Wellington Regional Hospital.
