Fonterra has been forced to slash its milk collection forecast

Fonterra has been forced to slash its milk collection forecast

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
The company has altered its 2021/2022 forecast down 1.6 per cent to 1.5 billion kilograms of milk solids.

Chief Executive Miles Hurrell says varied weather and challenging growth conditions earlier in the season have seen milk collections down on the same period the year before.

He says conditions were expected to improve over the Christmas and New Year period, but this hasn't happened.

Hurrell says they'll continue to monitor the situation and carefully manage sales.
