Auckland's Mayor says the city's first electric ferries will be a game changer

Auckland's Mayor says the city's first electric ferries will be a game changer

The 200-seat ferries will hit the water in 2024 - in the wake of 27-million dollars of Government funding, and seven-million from Auckland Transport.

Auckland company EV Maritime is building the vessels, launching an era of sustainable ferry services.

Goff says the Council's committed to a sustainable transport system - and delivering future generations a positive legacy.
