Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney has ruled out a crack at the Commonwealth Games and world championships but is determined to compete at the Paris Olympics

Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney has ruled out a crack at the Commonwealth Games and world championships but is determined to compete at the Paris Olympics

The 25 year old has endured an injury-prone career since securing bronze as a teenager at the Rio Games in 2016.

Persistent achilles tendon problems and complications have led to McCartney doing things differently.

Greg Norman has found himself in the rough as he launches his Saudi Arabian-backed golf circuit to rival the PGA Tour.

He was asked about the country's human rights record, including the 2018 state-sponsored murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Norman issued a "we've all made mistakes" defence as media interviewed him at the Centurion Club near London, host of next month's maiden tournament.

His comments are now likely to intensify the accusations of "sportswashing".

Manchester City are on the cusp of a fourth Premier League football title in five years.

The champions have moved three points clear of Liverpool and with a superior goal difference after a 5-1 drubbing of Wolverhampton.
