    Coaching was always part of the plan for retired Black Caps wicket keeper BJ Watling


    The former test keeper has been appointed Wellington's white ball coach for the coming domestic season with a view to replace new director of cricket Bruce Edgar for the Plunket Shield the following summer.

    Watling says the desire to coach has been in the pipeline for a while.
