A woman who had CCTV footage of her captured at a Wellington bar has filed a complaint with the Privacy Commission

A woman who had CCTV footage of her captured at a Wellington bar has filed a complaint with the Privacy Commission

The woman was at the Residence bar in October last year when a staff member filmed CCTV of her kissing a man, which was sent to the man's partner.

She was then attacked by the man's partner and her friend, and left unconscious in the bathroom.

A man and woman have since been convicted of assault, but the woman wants the bar and the staff member held to account for breaching her privacy.

The staff member is still employed at the Residence, but has refuted the woman's version of events.
