Tom Hiddleston's life has changed completely since becoming a father

The 'Loki' actor and his fiancee Zawe Ashton welcomed their first child into the world in October 2022 and the 43-year-old actor couldn't be happier with the new normal as a family of three

Asked about fatherhood at the Miami Film Festival, where he was honoured with Variety's Virtuoso Award, 7 News Florida reports he said: "It's just changed everything. It changed the centre of my life completely.

"There's a before and an after, and I'm happy to be living in the after.

"It's the most profound honour to be here. I'm so grateful to Variety and the Miami Film Festival and Miami Dade College for inviting me."

Zawe, 39, recently hailed motherhood as the "most unparalleled and important role" she will ever have.

The 'Marvels' actress told Sunday Times Style magazine: "The place that I'm at right now is the past, present and future working in a really special alignment.

"It's the most unparalleled and important role I will ever have and I look forward to being in dialogue about it when the moment is right.

"Listening is serving my energy best as a mother right now. I'm brand new to this and absorbing all the knowledge and stories I can."

Zawe admitted it isn't easy for her or Tom to strike a balance between being in the public eye and keeping personal matters out of the spotlight so they stay "sacred" to them.

She said: "I honestly think any performer is trying their absolute best to balance it all and work out how to be in the public sphere and talk about the work while also keeping the things that are sacred sacred."
