    The Dallas Stars have nosed in front in ice hockey's NHL western conference finals series with a 5-3 game three win against the Oilers in Edmonton


    The Stars trailed 2-nil after the first period before storming into a 3-2 lead during the second spell and again retaking the lead in the third after the Oilers had equalised.

    Dallas lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
