New Southern Steel netball coach Wendy Frew is attempting to attract players from other ANZ Premiership franchises in an effort to turn their fortunes around

The former Silver Fern has succeeded Reinga Bloxham at the helm of the Invercargill-based side, who she captained to titles in 2017 and 2018.

The Steel have finished last two years in a row.
