Police have reopened a case against former Tipene Funerals director Fiona Bakulich , as the company hires its own private investigator

Police have reopened a case against former Tipene Funerals director Fiona Bakulich , as the company hires its own private investigator

It's been alleged Bakulich swindled her clients, by improperly interring their dead relatives in the public mausoleum at Auckland's Waikumete Cemetery.

Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin says they're seeking more information due to new information on the burials, and are working to identify impacted families.

He says they'll also review fraud allegations involving cash transactions reported to them in March and April.
