    Breakers centre Freddie Gillespie's relishing the competitive nature of his positional group ahead of tonight's NBL basketball home opener against South East Melbourne in Auckland


    Fellow big men Sam Mennenga and Dane Pineau stepped up in the absence of the suspended American during last week's win over Brisbane.

    Mennenga led the way with 22 points - and Gillespie's far from surprised.
