    New Zealand Formula One driver Liam Lawson has made a solid start in his first practice session for the US Grand Prix


    The Racing Bulls driver was 13th of the 20 drivers in Texas...three spots below team mate Yuki Tsunoda but three spots ahead of Red Bull's Sergio Perez.

    The Ferraris were the two fastest beasts, ahead of Max Verstappen's Red Bull.

    Sprint Race qualifying takes place later this morning.
