Police are due to provide an update this morning, on the ongoing manhunt following the fatal bus stabbing in Auckland

Police are due to provide an update this morning, on the ongoing manhunt following the fatal bus stabbing in Auckland

A person has died in hospital after being stabbed on a bus in Onehunga yesterday afternoon.

Armed police have been out in force in Onehunga overnight, and local councillor Josephine Bartley says detectives have identified a suspect.

Police Minister Mark Mitchell has told RNZ, it seems like a senseless attack.

He says the priority for Police has been to locate, arrest and charge the offender.
