The Police Minister says an officer photographed wearing a gang patch is "feeling terrible", "taking responsibility", and going through an internal process

The Police Minister says an officer photographed wearing a gang patch is "feeling terrible", "taking responsibility", and going through an internal process

The officer posed for photos in June, wearing a Mangu Kaha patched vest.

Mark Mitchell says he's "disappointed" by what's happened, but Police are taking the matter seriously.

It comes as the Police Minister is commending the Police for their enforcement of the ban, amid the threat of possible legal challenges from gangs.

Mitchell says gangs are well-organised, well-funded and sophisticated, and will do anything to avoid compliance.
