Tom Hanks' Pacific Palisades home is among a small clutch of celebrity mansions still standing amid LA's devastating wildfires

The 'Forrest Gump' star, 68, bought the palatial $26 million residence with his fellow actor wife Rita Wilson, also 68, in 2010 - and photos have now shown even though a string of A-listers' homes in the Pacific Palisades area were razed to the ground, their place is standing undamaged.

Images obtained by Page Six showed the Hanks' four-bedroom, five-bathroom house on a cliffside apparently untouched by the blazes that broke out on Tuesday (07.01.25.)

Tom's son Chet Hanks, 34, spoke out about the devastating Palisades fires on Instagram before his dad's home was snapped still standing.

He said online: "The neighbourhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn. Pray for the Palisades."

Tom and Rita bought their current LA mansion when Chet was grown up and have also owned a Spanish-style villa in the Pacific Palisades.

They bought that property when they were newlyweds and sold it in 2014 for $5 million.

Tom also purchased a 1,800-square-foot beach house in Malibu in 1991, which he is thought to still own.

Celebrities who have seen their homes burned to the ground by the wildfires include Paris Hilton, Sir Anthony Hopkins, reality TV star couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt as well as married actors Leighton Meester and Adam Brody.

Other celebs whose homes are still standing include Ben Affleck, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Chris Pratt, Steven Spielberg, Rebel Wilson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Brady, Bill Hader and Dan Aykroyd.

Jamie has donated $1 million to victims of the wildfires and Ben returned to his home on Thursday (09.01.25) according to Page Six after fleeing the $20 million property to shelter with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
