The Nurses Organisation says workers being attacked walking to and from Christchurch Hospital is a health and safety issue

The Nurses Organisation says workers being attacked walking to and from Christchurch Hospital is a health and safety issue

Police are investigating two people on an electric scooter hitting a woman in the back as she walked to work on Monday.

Two weeks ago, a worker was seriously assaulted as she left Waipapa birthing unit.

NZNO president Anne Daniels says nurses have been calling for years to have carparking on-site, or nearby.

She says it's clear the employer is failing employees.

Health New Zealand says it can't comment while police investigate.
