    The All Blacks have released 16 players from their extended Rugby Championship squad to play in the NPC this round - Wellington and Waikato are the chief beneficiaries, getting four each


    The main draw wildcards for New Zealand ASB Classic hopefuls will now go to the highest point-scoring male and female based on their top eight ATP and WTA events across the season, rather than a Te Anau qualifying tournament.



    Adam O'Brien is set to leave as Newcastle coach in league's NRL - former Warrior Blake Green is among those short-listed to replace him.
