One Dunedin resident has woken up 10 million dollars richer after winning the must-be-won Powerball jackpot

One Dunedin resident has woken up 10 million dollars richer after winning the must-be-won Powerball jackpot

Lotto says it scheduled the must-be-won draw so they can reset the Powerball jackpot next week to ensure its at a manageable level as they prepare for a technology upgrade.

Lotto NZ Chief Executive Jason Delamore says a smaller jackpot at the time of the upgrade means less pressure on their systems and retailers.
