Teddi Mellencamp's emotions are "high" amid her ongoing cancer battle

The 44-year-old TV personality revealed in April that her stage four melanoma - a dangerous form of skin cancer - had spread to her brain and lungs, and now she has taken to Instagram to ask her fans for positive messages because she is "struggling".

Captioning a bare-faced selfie of her sitting in a home, wearing a beige hoodie and showing off her short blonde hair, Teddi wrote: "Mondays, am I right?

"Emotions high. Love to everyone out there. If I haven't responded to your text, I love you. I am just struggling.

"How are y'all doing? Would love to hear one of your positives from today.

"Mine is: I feel very grateful for the people in my life. (sic)"

After Teddi - who split from her husband, 48-year-old TV personality Edwin Arroyave in October 2024, whom she has her children Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and five year old Dove - made the upload, she was bombarded with over 1,000 messages in the post's comments section.

One user said: "I am fighting cancer as well and the last 2 days were hard but I still woke up today, I have a roof over my head, I'm still working, I enjoyed a sunset, loving messages from family and friends, and my daughter called to say she'd be home for Fall break.

"Living in gratitude every day. Sending you love and strength. (sic)"

Another person wrote: "My dad beat stage 4 melanoma!!

"Keep on fighting !! Immunotherapy isn't pretty but he's been cancer free for several years.

"Hugs and prayers to you. (sic)"

And a third follower penned: "I am in remission for both lung cancer and lymphoma.

"We cannot control the cancer that ravages our bodies but we can control how we react to it.

"Stay positive, keep moving even when you just want to crawl in the bed, But most importantly remember every day we wake up is a beautiful day rain or shine.

"We get to love and cherish our family and friends.

"Stay strong and fight !! Wishing you all the best (sic)."

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was diagnosed with stage two melanoma in 2022.

She has had 17 melanoma spots, as well as four brain tumours, removed.
