    Police say there is no risk to the public after a dog's killed a person at a home in Kaihu - in Northland - late this morning


    Inspector Maria Nordstrom says the person was found dead when emergency services arrived at the property on State Highway 12.

    Kaipara District Mayor Jonathan Larsen says the Council animal management team also responded and secured the dogs.

    He says Police are the lead agency in the investigation.
