Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are still "going strong"

The 64-year-old music star and Elizabeth, 60, went public with their romance in April, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength over recent months

A source told People: "They've been together for more than six months now.

"Despite the scepticism, it was always real from the beginning. And they're going strong."

The celebrity couple actually have contrasting personalities, but they're still very happy together.

The insider explained: "They're very different, but it works. They're so cute together.

"It's the kind of connection that surprises people but makes perfect sense when you spend time with them. Liz's very happy."

Elizabeth recently revealed that she's "very happy" with Billy Ray and is delighted that their children get along with each other, too.

The actress opened up about their romance, revealing her son Damian, 23, has met Billy's pop star daughter Miley, 32, and "everyone loves everyone".

Speaking to The Sunday Times newspaper, she shared: "Billy Ray is fabulous. We're very happy, very happy ...

"Damian and Miley have met, Billy's kids are great and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian. Everyone loves everyone, it's lovely."

Damian is Elizabeth's only child from her relationship with late businessman Steve Bing, while Billy is dad to six children, including five with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus.

Elizabeth is based in the UK, and Billy lives in Tennessee - but the actress loves spending quality time with her boyfriend on both sides of the Atlantic.

She told the publication: "He loves it [the UK]. Obviously he loves England. The weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee."

The movie star explained that Billy's Nashville home actually reminds her a lot of England.

Elizabeth - who previously dated actor Hugh Grant and the late sports star Shane Warne - said: "He lives 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It's so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey."
