Sharon Stone thinks Broadway is her next natural step

The 67-year-old - who rose to fame in the early 1990s with her roles in sci-fi film Total Recall and erotic thriller Basic Instinct - has been a consistent force on the big and small screen for the past four decades, but now she feels "ready" to tread the boards and enter the world of live theatre.

She told Extra: "Now, I think I'm ready. I think I want to do Broadway. It's going to be, I think, the next step for me."

Sharon is keeping busy, with upcoming projects including a Speed-the-Plow movie with Anthony Mackie and director David Mamet, followed by a "vampire movie".

She's also set to appear in season three of Euphoria, and while her character is being kept under wraps, she has given fans a hint of what to expect.

She added: "Season 3, you know, they're grown now. They're not in high school anymore. So, it's what they're doing like 10 years later. "And so, it's not all so drama. And my part is kind of hilarious. I'm telling you, I don't remember when I had this much fun at work."

Away from the world of TV and film, Sharon has also been working on her own art, having added a portrait of Euphoria co-star Sydney Sweeney to her collection.

Last month, Sharon opened up to the same outlet about her "artistic journey" between acting and painting, and insisted the latter has been inspired by communicating with spirits.

She told Extra: "I think this channel really opened because so many of my members of my family died and they died really rapidly in these last maybe three and a half years.

"I genuinely hear this higher consciousness speak to me. When these portraits started coming through, they really talked to me."

The star got emotional as she opened up about how she feels the need to thank spirits after finishing her paintings.

She explained: "I think it's really special when they people... when they allowed me to see their soul...

"Because I believe in universal consciousness, I do believe that someone has allowed me into their consciousness so that I could paint this portrait of someone that I don't know. I feel so blessed."
