Sienna Miller is planning to chop off her long hair

The 44-year-old actress - who is currently pregnant with her third child - has revealed she feels ready for a dramatic makeover this year and she is planning to swap her long locks for a "low maintenance" bob or "something even shorter".

She told British Vogue: "I am ready to cut my hair off and do something different. I want to do a bob or something even shorter. For low maintenance, that's the dream."

Sienna's long hair currently sits below her shoulders and she explained how she makes her style look good using minimum effort.

She told the publication: "I naturally have wavy hair, so I think the less I do, the better it is ... I wash it, squeeze in a serum or a cream for something hydrating while it's damp. And then leave it. No heat. If it's really cold, I would blow-dry it, then I dipped the bottom in the bath and it would go into the wave."

Sienna revealed her hair has changed as she's aged and it's now "less forgiving" so she has to boost it with moisturising treatments.

The Alfie star doesn't wash her hair every day, but she sees a shampoo session as a "reset" because it can lift her mood if she's feeling down.

She said: "I think washing your hair makes you feel so much better. If I'm having a sad day and I wash my hair, it can reset the day. Five days would be the max [I would go without washing it]."

In the interview, Sienna went on to share her favourite beauty products, revealing she never goes without lip liner and her favourite is MAC Lip Pencil in Whirl.

The actress also revealed she uses cleansers by Obagi and loves Sarah Chapman's Skinesis range including the Liquid Facial Resurfacer, the Digital Rest Night Cream and the R R Glow Recovery Cream.

However, Sienna insisted her favourite skin product is Elizabeth Arden's classic Eight Hour Cream - describing it as the "best lip balm for me".

Sienna previously opened up about her fashion favourites revealing she prefers snapping up high street bargains to investing in designer clothes.

The movie star - who has collaborated on a second collection with Marks and Spencer - thinks there's "no point" spending a lot of money when you can get perfectly good pieces in reasonably-priced shops but she does still splash the cash on expensive knitwear and shoes.

She told Grazia magazine: "I wear a lot of high-street clothes because I'm fickle and impatient - I get bored quickly and you can find amazing pieces.

"I have an 11-year-old so I'm always in Urban Outfitters these day.

"I like to buy expensive knitwear and designer shoes. And for work I get to wear glamorous things, but day-to-day there's no point spending a lot of money when you can get something beautifully made on the high street."
