Concerns how income from the petrol tax is being used

Concerns how income from the petrol tax is being used

Motorists will pay an extra four cents a litre at the pump from tomorrow as the Government's annual fuel excise rise takes effect.

AA's Mark Stockdale says they want to be sure the tax is benefitting road users.

He says they have particular concerns about road maintenance not keeping pace with the increased level of activity on the roads.
