    The Climate Change Commission final report recommends bringing in technologies in the transport space ... including using electric planes for short haul flights from 2030.

    Electric Air Founder Gary Freedman operates the first and only electric plane in New Zealand.

    He says the technology isn't the thing holding us back.

    Gary Freedman says before passengers get into a new type of aircraft -- it has to be rigorously tested and certified.
