Fuel businesses could face penalties of up to five-million dollars - if they fail to follow incoming new regulations

The rules, coming into force in stages from August 11th, include a requirement for wholesale fuel suppliers to publish a spot price at fuel storage terminals.
It's designed to protect consumers.
Commerce Commission Chair, Anna Rawlings, says they are engaging with the industry ahead of the changes.
