They've been moved to Te Nikau and Grey Hospital and Health Centre.

Additional staff have been sent from Canterbury to Greymouth Hospital.

West Coast DHB incident controller - Doctor Graham Roper - says some patients transferred to Te Nikau were able to return home.

Buller Health plans to reopen on Monday.
