Police are working to confirm the identity of a woman found dead in Auckland's Manurewa

She was found at a non-residential property yesterday afternoon and her death's being treated as unexplained.

Officers are still at the scene on McVilly Road, and a scene examination's ongoing.

Police believe the woman is in her late teens or early 20s.

They want the public to get in touch if they have a young family member or friend that hasn't been in contact over the past day -- and this is out of character for them.

Police have also begun examining CCTV footage of the wider area...and are trying to piece together facts of what's happened.
