We accept your apology ... but don't forgive you

We accept your apology ... but don't forgive you

That's Queenstown Lakes District mayor's message, to the Auckland couple who left lockdown to go to a Wanaka holiday home.

William Willis and lawyer Hannah Rawnsley are no longer seeking name suppression, and have apologised.

Mayor Jim Boult says he'd like police to lay charges.

He says they put his community at risk and caused a lot of angst, which was totally unnecessary.

The Law Society will also be looking into it, and says Rawnsley could face disciplinary action.
