Wellington all rounder Thamsyn Newton's 100th appearance for the Blaze has a nifty twist

She'll be taking on her former side the Canterbury Magicians - whom she spent four years with - at the Basin Reserve in this morning's Twenty20 Super Smash cricket match.

Newton says there'll be a few familiar faces in the opposition.

Play gets underway at ten past ten - the men's sides begin at 1:40 pm.
