Those enrolled at Auckland University this year have to pay full fees, but many argue they're not getting the university experience they expected.
Auckland University Students' Association President Alofa So'olefai says certain students have spoken out quite loudly.
She says that includes those in education, science, medicine ... and music students who can't do in person performances.
The University says faculties may offer extensions to enable students to complete some practical components ... but fees will not be refunded.
