Fuel prices continue to soar in New Zealand

Fuel prices continue to soar in New Zealand

A tank of gas is currently about nine dollars more than just a month ago.

It comes as prices for 95 unleaded top more than three dollars a litre in some parts of the country.

Import costs, supply chain issues, Omicron and international tensions are driving the price higher and higher.

Waitomo Group Managing Director Jimmy Ormsby says the price of a barrel has also gone up significantly.

He says the cost of a barrel is at a seven year high, being just over 92-dollars, a 70-percent increase in the last month
