Hospital Covid-19 treatment may not be working on everyone

Hospital Covid-19 treatment may not be working on everyone

There were 24 Covid-19 related deaths reported yesterday - of past and recent figures - with the average age being 79.

When a case is hospitalised they're usually treated with Covid-19 antiviral drug Remdesivir within the first seven days of illness.

Intensive Care Specialist Dr Colin McArthur believes it's hard to say whether the treatment is working on older people.

He says older people are at high risk of developing severe disease, even with treatment.
