Peril for mall security and cleaning staff today - when three stolen vehicles ploughed through Ormiston's shopping centre in a daring overnight ram raid

Numerous offenders entered three stores in the Flat Bush complex in southeast Auckland just after 1am, taking electronic items and clothing.

The group fled in two of the vehicles.

A man at the scene says empty boxes for iPads and microwave ovens were strewn outside an electronics store, with a "massive" television broken.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
