    Bay of Plenty police have arrested a 26-year-old man after an assault at Riverslea Mall in Edgecumbe


    A boy in his mid-teens, who was with a group of friends, suffered serious injuries during the incident on Tuesday.

    He was taken to hospital for treatment - and has been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery.

    A man charged with injuring with intent to injure will appear in Whakatane District Court next Tuesday.
