Monkeypox is expected to be much easier to handle than Covid-19

We have one case of the disease at the moment, a person in their 30s who lives in Auckland who recently returned from overseas.
A small number of their contacts have been ordered to monitor their symptoms, but there is no community spread yet.
Otago University Professor of Public Health Michael Baker says some people need to keep an eye out.
He says those with chicken-pox like lesions who have been overseas or visited Africa recently should keep an eye on symptoms.
