A Lower Hutt man says six calls were made to 111 after his pregnant wife fell on her stomach, but no help arrived

Manpreet Randhawa says they waited nearly an hour for a call back from a nurse, before he eventually took her to ED himself.
Wellington Free Ambulance says they have to respond to the most life-threatening situations first.
Randhawa's wife is recovering, but he says he's now unsure what to do next time.
He says the advice is always to call 111, but now he's worried it'll just mean a longer wait.
