Tournament director Nicolas Lamperin is confident he will secure more highly ranked players for January's ASB Women's tennis classic in Auckland

Last year's US Open runner up 38th ranked Leylah Fernandez has been signed to join world number eight Coco Gauff in the field for the WTA tournament.

Lamperin says they are in negotiations with other quality players.

Lamperin has confirmed they've started talks to try and secure last year's US Open champion Emma Raducanu for the Classic.
