Wellington District Court has sentenced a prolific liquid ecstasy dealer to seven and a half years behind bars

Wellington District Court has sentenced a prolific liquid ecstasy dealer to seven and a half years behind bars

Justin Rankin was arrested in 2020 for possessing 400 litres of Gamma Butyrolactone - the biggest domestic seizure of the drug.

The 36-year-old was also charged for supplying another 18-hundred litres.

The arrest was part of Operation Skipjack, which landed more than 20 people before the courts for importing and supplying drugs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Hamish Blackburn says it's disrupted the illicit drug market - and helped prevent harm.
