West Ham's Premier League football season has worsened after a 2-nil loss at home to Brentford

West Ham's Premier League football season has worsened after a 2-nil loss at home to Brentford

They've dropped to 17th on the table - one point above the relegation zone - having lost six of their last seven matches.

    Brentford have climbed to ninth.

Liverpool beat Leicester 2-1 - the Foxes scored two own goals just before the end of the first half.

Elsewhere, the Phoenix's Ben Waine has signed with Plymouth Argyle in the UK.

The 21-year-old will join the League One side on a two-and-a-half year deal as they push for promotion to the Championship.

Phoenix manager Ufuk Talay says losing Waine is the reality of the sport.

Waine has started three of the Phoenix's nine games in the A-League season.
