    Crusaders captain Scott Barrett can play Friday's Super Rugby match with the Reds in Brisbane


    He was set to spend a week on the sidelines as part of the All Blacks rest and rotation rule, having played five straight games to open the season.

    NZR has given Barrett an exemption given the Crusaders injury crisis in the second row.

    Forwards coach Dan Perrin's mulling over who will partner Barrett - after flanker Dom Gardiner deputised in the win over the Brumbies.



    The Crusaders name their team tomorrow.
