Safety work is set to get underway on the Nevis Bluff near Queenstown

Safety work is set to get underway on the Nevis Bluff near Queenstown

Waka Kotahi's Aspiring Highways team has been working on the cliff face since November last year, following an increase in movement detected late last year.

The team now needs to complete its usual autumn checks - resulting in some delays on State Highway 6.

People who travel between Cromwell and Queenstown will need to factor in short delays, up to 25 minutes at a time on weekdays, from 8am to 5pm.

The work will run for three weeks.
