Wellington's Mayor believes the waterfront is 'very safe,' but is looking in to potential upgrades

Wellington's Mayor believes the waterfront is 'very safe,' but is looking in to potential upgrades

The body of teacher Isaac Levings was found in the harbour on Friday -- and his parents are now calling for balustrades in the area.

They join the father of Sandy Calkin, Roger Calkin, who has supported the initiative since his son drowned in 2021.

Tory Whanau says the council's looking at adding handrails, and making the edge of the waterfront more prominent.

She believes there are enough measures to keep the waterfront safe.
