Police are asking for help in investigating a 21-year-old cold case

Police are asking for help in investigating a 21-year-old cold case

Bay of Plenty officers are looking into the 2002 attempted murder of Rotorua man, Karl Anders Nyman.

The main offender, Warren Uata Kiwi, was convicted in 2019 -- but Police know others were involved.

The 62-year-old was a 'gun for hire' -- having been promised some cannabis to shoot Nyman -- was sentenced to 9 years in jail.

But, Police want to know who was behind the attempted murder plot.

Nyman says life hasn't been the same since that morning -- where he was shot in the arm and injured his knee in a struggle with the gunman .

Anyone with information should come forward.
