    It's been revealed the driver of a vehicle involved in a serious crash with a bicycle this morning, broke in to a Christchurch pharmacy trying to find a defibrillator


    Emergency services were called to the intersection of Avonside Drive and Linwood Avenue just after 6.30am.

    Manger of Woodham Road Pharmacy, Elliot says the person broke one of the glass sliding doors, genuinely trying to help the injured cyclist.

    He says unfortunately they didn't have a defibrillator on site.

    The road remains closed while the serious crash unit investigates.
