Changes to parking in the Wellington suburb of Newtown could spell trouble for medical staff

The council wants to make half of the five-thousand parks in the area under two-hour time restrictions - with exemptions for residents.

Manager City Design Manager Vida Christeller says workers will have to park farther away -- but it's good news for others.

She says residents will be able to park closer to the hospital, and hospital visitors would have a better chance of finding a park.
