Not a great day for Kiwi golfers around the world

Not a great day for Kiwi golfers around the world

Ryan Fox is likely packing his bags at the latest PGA Tour event in Florida.

He looks highly unlikely to survive the weekend cut at the Valspar Championship, with play suspended for the second round - but Fox languishing well down the leaderboard.

He shot a two-under par 69... but with his opening-round 5-over 76, is three over for the tournament.

The cut line is provisionally set at even par.

Veteran Steve Alker's also begun poorly at his PGA Tour Champions event in California, firing a one over 72 opening round to be tied for 61st - six shots off the pace.

Over on the European Tour in Singapore... Daniel Hillier and Michael Hendry have both missed the cut.
