Introducing fresh produce at The Warehouse could see more competition in the grocery sector

Introducing fresh produce at The Warehouse could see more competition in the grocery sector

Thirty two of the more-than 250 warehouse stores around the country, now offer fresh fruit and vegetables, with further expansion likely.

Chris Wilkinson from First Retail says it's a wake-up call to the supermarket duopoly.

He says while it may not mean large increases to Warehouse profits, it will encourage supermarkets to offer better value.
