Mike King's calling out the Labour Party after it commented on Gumboot Friday's funding

Mike King's calling out the Labour Party after it commented on Gumboot Friday's funding

King's mental health foundation I am Hope will get a six-million-a-year budget-boost from the Government.

Labour mental health spokesperson, Ingrid Leary, queried that - pointing out now-chair of the Foundation, Naomi Ballantyne, donated 7-thousand to National 2023, and 20-thousand in 2020.

King says labour is using an initiative aimed at supporting young people's mental health for political point-scoring.

He says it's ironic that the same party that once supported his cause is now using it as a political football.
